Liulkalater became a designer of many structures of aircraft engines and an academician. The school is also famous for the manufacturing of the first Europe high speed airplane with a retractable landing gear.

National Aerospace University Kharkiv is a Ukraine university founded in the year 1930 and focuses in aviation and space engineering.

National Aerospace University Kharkiv’s namein 1978 was changed to N. Ye. Zhukovskiy.

In the year 1980 it was awarded the with the oder ofLenin.

In the year 1998 on the basis of the KhAI the N. Ye. Zhukovskiy State Aerospace University “KharkivAviation Institute” was founded.

In the year 2000 the school was granted the rank of the National higher education institution (NHEI) and was renamed the National Aerospace University (Kharkiv Aviation Institute).

Students

From the period the existence the University has trained more than 60,000 engineers with more than 80% of the specialists with higher education who work in Ukrainian aerospace as her graduates.

The school as of 2020 has about 9700 students and over 155 post-graduate students are receiving training at the university, 650 teachers, over 2500 workers which amongst them are 120 professors and candidates of science.

National Aerospace University Kharkiv in order to accommodate the training of foreign studentshave a set of International Oriented Studies (IOS) Bachelor’s and Masters of Science Programmes in English and also has 1-month Training Programme at the Preparatory Department. Thus, National Aerospace University Kharkiv began the training of foreign students in the year 1992 with more than 1000 foreign citizens from 40 countries of Asia, Africa and America are trained annually at the school.

Accommodation& Admission

Students in this school can choose to live in up to a two-bed room on-campus, all rooms are well equipped with modern facilities with 2 beds, bookshelves, chairs, a wardrobe, a table in the room, bathroom facilities and fitted kitchen with cooker.
